Mechanical Field Service Technician

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our team at EST!

As a member of our Field Service Team, you'll have the opportunity to apply your mechanical experience and problem-solving skills at a variety of customer locations across the United States and Internationally. Client sites include Nuclear/Fossil power plans, Refineries, Chemical plants and US Navy vessels.

Your Challenge

  • Serves as a member of the Field Service team and performs variety of repairs/testing associated with heat exchangers at customer sites.

  • Acquire knowledge of EST Group products in order to administer training classes to employees, sales reps and customers

  • Perform in-house product testing and generate test reports

  • Perform in-house production related tasks including refurbishment/rebuild of EST Group products, production/assembly support.

  • Administrative tasks including expense reports, job billing, job reports, cost quoting, scheduling.

  • Understands and interprets basic heat exchanger drawings, service manuals and parts diagrams. Applies basic technical knowledge of mechanical principles in order to put equipment in operational condition and solve problems.

  • Works closely with others regarding scheduling and general technical requirements.

  • Builds, develops and maintains productive relationships with clients and vendors while maintaining a high level of quality technical service.

  • Working in confined spaces and elevated areas

What You Bring

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time. Domestic/International Travel and overnight stays are required.

  • 1-2 years relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems with engineered products.

  • Professional experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, diagrams and testing procedures.

  • Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit with demonstrated ability to work independently.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Nuclear/Fossil Power Plants, Chemical Plants, Refineries, US Navy fields or heat exchanger manufacturing/repair

  • Assembly or experience in a manufacturing environment
