Financial Analyst
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our world-class manufacturing and design facility in Ottawa, Ontario!
As our Financial Analyst you are responsible for providing financial analysis, support and control to various departments within Curtiss Wright Controls Defense Solutions.

Your Challenge:
Report on Revenue by End Market Data and Product Splits on a quarterly basis for Corporate
Ongoing reporting and analysis of profit lines/gross margins
Compilation and review of overhead rates
Assist in the compilation and review of critical bids and proposals
Assist in month end close tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Other miscellaneous analysis and reporting
General accounting and finance tasks as required
Backup and support for other members of the finance team
Aid in various internal/external audits including Sarbanes-Oxley self-assessment
What You Bring:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and or related field
Preferred Member in good standing with CPA
3-5 years of related experience preferably in a manufacturing or high technology environment
Audit experience with a large firm considered an asset
Thorough understanding of ASC 606, general and cost accounting principles, and practices.
Must be able to work with Excel/Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to develop and write procedures, as well as experience with cost/revenue analysis and audits to recommend process improvements.
Excellent analytical skills to collect data, understand significance, explain issues, and recommend solutions.
Excellent technical ability, including ability to work with integrated ERP systems preferably SAP expertise.
Ability to embrace change with enthusiasm for continuous improvement
