Production Associate-Conformal Coating (Afternoon Shift)

We are looking for a Conformal Coating Production Associate to join our world-class manufacturing and design facility in Ottawa, Ontario!

Working as a member of the Manufacturing Production group, you will be responsible for conformal coating (Acrylic, Urethane and Parylene), inspection and repair processes involved in the manufacture of CW products. The successful candidate must be experienced in the handling of chemicals, components, and in conformal coating a must and the associated PWB manual masking / unmasking processes.

Your Challenge

  • Complete precision masking to the product as defined by drawings.

  • Operate equipment related to the conformal coating process.

  • Efficiently following defined work schedules from the area Lead Hand following all Health & Safety guidelines

  • Complete all logs, reports and other data as defined by the area Lead Hand

  • Provide assistance to various areas of the manufacturing operation as required

  • Responsible to lift normal consumable supplies associated with the processes

  • Provide recommendations for process changes and improvement

  • May contribute as a member of the Spill team and/or Health and Safety Committee

  • Willing to support 3 shift rotations as required

What You Bring

  • Technician Diploma or grade 12 with equivalent education and work experience including a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment

  • IPC-A-610

  • Knowledge of defect recognition for workmanship standards and requirements

  • Experience applying ECO’s to circuit cards

  • Experience working with formal procedures and supporting documents

  • Experience within a PWB assembly environment, preference given to direct experience working with soldering SMT and PTH components under a microscope and in the conformal coating - masking / unmasking and equipment operation

  • Good working knowledge of SAP and personal computers

  • Experience setting up and using micro-scopes

  • Demonstrated manual dexterity

  • Experience in masking, and unmasking and in the application of conformal coatings to products

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and teaming skills
