Inside Sales Support Engineer-Onsite/Hybrid Position
Curtiss Wright PacStar is currently seeking a talented Inside Sales Support Engineer to join our Professional Services team in Portland OR!
As our Sales Support engineer you will be supporting the assigned Sales Account Team and respective programs . In this role, you will provide several key technical customer support functions , including inside sales engineering support, the design, configuration, and installation of PacStar equipment at client sites, and you will be the key customer contact point to provide ongoing technical support and relay customer feedback to PacStar’s engineering teams.
Your primary responsibility is to support our EITS & PSP Sales Executives.

Your Challenge:
Be the technical champion for PacStar products and solutions
Analyze requirements, produce engineering designs, create Bill of Materials (BOMs), and proposal documents that utilize PacStar products and ancillary networking products for IP voice/data/security/wireless/networking solutions, including Government RFP submissions
Provide technical input into the development of sales proposals, including identification of equipment, contractors, and 3rd party vendors required to complete projects
Support the sales process, account management teams, and delivery teams
Interface with sales staff and resellers’ and customers’ technical staff in the identification of customer solutions
Serve as consulting resource for our professional sales team; communicate compelling value propositions and maximize profit for products and services sales
Provide technical guidance to other members of the Sales Engineering Team
Follow up on quotes
Designs, configures and installs network infrastructure and systems, including PacStar Strategic and Tactical Unified Communications Products and PacStar partner products (Cisco, Brocade, Aruba, etc.)
Provide technical support and customer feedback for clients, product development and company
Respond to customer technical support needs for PacStar products
Coordinate on implementation projects
Provide technical and engineering expertise to team supporting all initiatives
Obtain and maintain technical certifications necessary for PacStar Success
Other duties as assigned
What you Bring:
Must be able to travel both domestic and internationally 20% of the time.
US Secret clearance or above is required
Minimum of 2 years successful technical experience supporting sales of technical products in similar fields is required
Minimum of 2 years successful experience deploying network technologies such as wireless, VoIP, LAN, WAN, WLAN, security, and/or enterprise IT systems is required
Current certifications must include a t least one CISCO CCNA (Route/Switch, Voice, Security, or Wireless) certification
Creative problem solver – ability to find creative solutions with a “can-do” attitude, in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter – ability to initiate and drive business with little supervision
Strong work ethic – a professional engineer with a desire to excel
Maintain professionalism, good attitude and appropriate behavior with PacStar personnel and clients
Independent professional who executes job assignments with limited supervision
Good understanding of sales and support process and practices
Ability to work with customers to overcome objections and obstacles
Inside sales experience supporting Government end users a plus
Basic understanding of Government contracting and procurement a plus
Strong mathematical skills (including ability to do percentages)
Accuracy and attention to detail is required
Strong computer skills; Word, Excel and Outlook
Excellent customer service and telephone skills
Self-motivated high achiever, with the ability to communicate easily with a wide range of individuals both verbally and in writing
Must be able to self-organize workloads and manage all deadlines
Prior US Military Service with honorable discharge is highly preferred
