Project Manager - Portland, OR

Curtiss-Wright is looking for a Project Manager at our Portland, OR facility.

As our Project Manager you will be responsible for the performance of multiple small to mid-sized projects or a definable portion of a larger program in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. Projects include Customer funded Research & Development (CRAD), Internally funded Research and Development (IRAD), and Post Sales installation Projects.

Your Challenge:

  • Evaluating project requirements and defines project plan to execute to scope within schedule and budget

  • Resolving a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways

  • Coordinating activities across multi-disciplinary teams both on-site and at remote locations

  • Responsible for project management tasks (schedule, budget, scope management) and may contribute to the development of standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and accounting

  • Primary interface to customers (internal and external)

  • Gathering information from project team, prepare project status brief, and present to customers on regular schedules, including schedule and budget performance

  • Identifying and actively managing project risk items

  • Responsible for developing follow-on business associated with assigned programs and for supporting new business development by leading proposals.

  • Be single point of contact for Accounting, Purchasing and Production during project performance from receipt of order to final closeout.Process sales orders by reviewing customer purchase orders for correct bill of material, statements of work, and professional service offerings.

Your Expertise:

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience managing projects

  • Aerospace and Defense, Automotive, or medical project background a plus.

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Six Sigma, PMP Preferred

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office. Prior project management experience.

  • Agile / Lean project management experience.
